Privacy Policy
This covers two things: this website, and registration for STR82IT stops.
Lottawins Foundation Inc. publishes this website, runs the STR82IT tour, and is responsible for everything you give when you register.

Part 1: This website
What the site itself does not do
There are no forms, accounts, logins or payments on this website. Registration happens on a separate form, described in Part 2. There are no advertising trackers and no social network pixels on this site. We do not sell information, and we do not share it for advertising.
What your visit sends on its own
Vercel hosts and serves this site, so Vercel receives what every web request carries: your network address, your browser and device type, the page you asked for, the date and time, and the page you came from if you followed a link. The site loads a small script from Vercel that counts page views, used to see which pages people read, not to identify anyone.
The one cookie
Your browser receives a single cookie, named __vdpl, set by Vercel as part of serving the site. It belongs to this domain only, is marked HttpOnly, Secure and SameSite Strict, and disappears when you close your browser. It is not an advertising cookie and does not identify you. Nothing else is kept on your device by this site.
Your browser can block cookies and scripts, including the counting script. Nothing on the site stops working if you do, and every page can be read with scripts turned off.
Fonts load from Google
The typefaces come from Google Fonts, so Google receives your network address and the fact that a page on this site loaded, under Google's own privacy policy.
When you email us
The addresses on this site are ordinary mail links, so your own mail program sends the message. We receive what you write, the address you wrote from, and anything you attach, and we use it to answer you and to keep a record of the exchange.
We have not set a schedule for deleting old mail. You can ask us to delete an exchange.
The funder deck
Our deck for funders and partners sits at a separate address that is shared by link. It asks search engines not to list it, and it passes no referring address to sites opened from it. It is not password protected, so anyone who has the address can read it.
Part 2: Registering to play
Where registration happens
You register on a form hosted for Lottawins Foundation Inc. by Tally, a third-party form service. Tally stores what you enter on Lottawins Foundation Inc.'s behalf, under its own terms. Following the Register link takes you to Tally's site, which has its own privacy policy and cookies.
What we collect when you register
- your full legal name, email address and mobile phone number;
- your date of birth, to confirm you are 18 or older;
- the state you live in, to show only the offers open where you live;
- the HBCU you attended, if you choose to say;
- the stop and division you enter;
- whether you are a current college student-athlete, and whether Rule 5.4 excludes you;
- how your entry is being paid, and, if a sponsor is paying it, your username or email on that sponsor's platform and that you used promo code FEDUP;
- your emergency contact's name, phone number and relationship to you;
- your signature on the Participant Waiver, with the date and time you signed;
- your agreement to the recording license in Rule 9.1, and to the rules, terms and this policy; and
- whether you ticked the separate, optional box for news about future stops.
Paying
You pay the entry fee by Cash App, the payment app named on the registration form. Cash App handles your payment under its own policies. We see what any payee sees: your name, the amount, the date and your note.
Why we use it
To run the event: confirm you are eligible, check your identity at check-in, seed brackets, contact you about your registration and stop, reach your emergency contact if you are hurt, keep a record of the waiver you signed, confirm a sponsor paid your entry, and meet our legal obligations.
Who sees it
- Lottawins Foundation Inc. staff who run registration and events.
- Tally, which stores the form responses for us.
- Venues, officials and on-site medical staff, who get what they need on the day: your name for check-in, and your emergency contact if you are hurt.
- The sponsor you chose, if one is paying your entry. We share only what it needs to confirm you qualified: your username or email on its platform, and that you registered for a stop. Nothing else, and nothing if you pay yourself.
- The public. Games are filmed and streamed, and results are published, so your name, image and results can appear in broadcasts and results, as Rule 9.1 describes.
- Anyone the law requires us to tell.
We do not sell what you give us, and we do not share it for advertising.
Messages
We email you about your registration, payment and stop. We send marketing emails or texts only if you tick the separate, optional box. For texts: message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply; reply STOP to stop and HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of entry.
How long we keep it
- registration details: three years after the stop;
- signed waivers: seven years after the stop;
- emergency contacts: deleted within 90 days after the stop;
- payment records: seven years, as tax and accounting records;
- a registration that lapses unpaid, and anyone who reaches the "not eligible" ending: deleted within 30 days.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We may have to keep a signed waiver and payment records for the periods above, and we will tell you if so. You can stop marketing messages at any time.
Children
Registration is for people 18 and over. If we learn that someone under 18 has registered, we cancel the registration and delete what they gave.
Security
Registration responses are available only to the Lottawins Foundation Inc. staff who need them, through individual accounts protected by strong passwords and two-factor sign-in where the service offers it. Card details never pass through us: payments go through Cash App.
Part 3: The rest
Recording at events
Tour events are filmed, photographed and streamed, so anyone who attends can appear in that footage and in the broadcast.
The crisis line is not ours
We point to 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, which is run independently. Calls and texts to it go to them, not to us, and we receive nothing about them.
Other sites
Where we link to other organizations, including sponsors and Tally, what they collect is governed by their policies, not this one.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
